Condensing Boilers
A condensing boiler captures much more usable heat from its fuel than a non-condensing boiler. Its high operating efficiency is made possible by the design of the condensing boiler's larger - or sometimes dual - heat exchanger.
Heating Controls
Whether you heat your home and hot water using gas, oil, LPG or electricity, the right heating controls and knowing how to set them correctly will help you get the best from your system. An appropriate set of heating controls make it easy to keep your home at a comfortable temperature. They’ll help you to waste less fuel and heat, too – keeping your heating bills and CO2 emissions down.
Air Source Heat Pumps
Air source heat pumps absorb heat from the outside air. This heat can then be used to warm water for radiators, underfloor heating systems, warm air convectors or hot water in your home.
Ground Source Heat Pumps
Ground source heat pumps use pipes buried in the garden to extract heat from the ground. This is usually used to heat water for radiators, underfloor heating systems and hot water.
Beneath the surface, the ground stays at a constant temperature, so a ground source heat pump can be used throughout the year - even in the middle of winter.
Solar PV Panels
PV cells are panels you can attach to your roof or walls. Each cell is made from one or two layers of semiconducting material, usually silicon. When light shines on the cell it creates an electric field across the layers. The stronger the sunshine, the more electricity is produced.
Underfloor Heating
You may never have considered it as an option, but underfloor heating is a realistic possibility for your home. In recent years it has become widely acknowledged as one of the most effective methods of obtaining uniform heat distribution and high comfort levels.

Solar Water Heating
Solar water heating systems use free heat from the sun to warm domestic hot water. A conventional boiler or immersion heater is then used to make the water hotter, or to provide hot water when solar energy is unavailable.
